Theme evening: Poland
On Wednesday evening from 8 p.m. we want to take a closer look at our neighboring country Poland: Why does Poland have a worse reputation in Germany than most of the other neighboring countries? Is life in Poland so different from ours? What do we not yet know about our neighbors? Are there perhaps more similarities than we think?
Together with Bernd Karwen (Polish Institute Berlin, Leipzig branch), Agnieszka Anna Zawadzka (lecturer at the Institute for Slavic Studies at the University of Leipzig) and two Erasmus students from Poland, we would like to get to the bottom of these questions and stereotypes. An evening to confront our own prejudices and to exchange ideas about differences in culture, mentality and mutual perception
