She wrote—he became famous? Women in the shadows of literary history
For a long time, women were not given the space to express themselves through literature.
If they did so, it was only secretly at night, so that no one would notice.
In her book ‘A Room of One’s Own’, Virginia Woolf therefore demanded what many women wanted:
space, time, and recognition for themselves and their literary works.
Her style and feminist stance have shaped literature to this day.
At this themed evening, we want to talk about the women of literary history with Prof. Dr. Horstkotte.
Come along and discover fascinating female authors whose works have shaped literature—even if their names are not as well known as those of Goethe or Schiller.
As usual, the evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with dinner together, followed by evening prayer, the theme evening itself, and a cozy conclusion.
As always, everyone is welcome, whether for dinner, the theme evening, or both.
So just drop by and get to know us. We look forward to seeing you!
