Collection Project

At the moment, 8 out of 10 children with cancer can be cured. That is why our fundraising project for the winter semester 2024/25 is “Kinderkrebs-Forschung”. The aim of this support association for children’s oncology in Leipzig is to increase this rate to 100%.

The Children’s Cancer Research Foundation supports both clinical and experimental oncology. In the field of clinical oncology, the association contributes to the financing of study assistants and study nurses on the ward at the Children’s Oncology Unit in Leipzig. In the field of experimental oncology, the donations are used for staff positions in the research laboratory.

Research in the field of pediatric cancer is only partly financed by state funds. A significant proportion is provided by third-party funds and donations.

KSG’s donation directly supports pediatric cancer research at the University of Leipzig.
